Sometimes being asleep is the preferable solution for a child, especially for trauma or infection. We can offer general anaesthesia to most children over the age of two and we have helped many dentists to successfully treat their distressed little patients. Being "child friendly" is an important aspect of our service!

If you know this applies to your child please discuss this option with your own dentist or alternatively contact Randwick Day Surgery to arrange an appointment with one of our accredited dentists. This facility is licenced for general anaesthesia to children over two years old and is fully accredited with Benchmark Management System ISO 9002.

If time allows we recommend orientation visits for parents/ carers and their child but in some situations this is not always possible. Please be assured that when making an appointment, our staff will inform parents of all necessary information. Particular instructions for fasting times will be given prior to admission. Post-operative care sheets will be given on discharge with special Bravery Certificates for the children to take home.
